Is a Doctor of Philological Sciences, and a Professor. He is a researcher at the Institute of Philosophy, Sociology and Law, The National Academy of Sciences, RA; he also works at the Institute for Humanities, Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University. Dr. Zolyan is an author and editor of more than 200 scientific works (General Linguistics, Political Science, Conflict Resolution, Russian and Armenian Linguistics, Semantics, Semiotics, Poetics, Language Policy, Higher Education). Dr. Zolyan is also a former member of the Parliament of Armenia (1990–1995):
